We currently have several positions open. 

One on One Aide

Responsibilities: Provides support and assistance in the classroom, maintains confidentiality at all times, and possesses strong communication and organization skills. Provides support in classrooms as determined by the Special Needs/ Mental Health Manager and Education Manager. Participates in family activities.

Mental Health Specialist

Responsibilities: Provide direct family services to high risk families or families referred by the Family Advocates.Plans and coordinates mental health classes for parents and staff.Coordinates parent support groups within the program as determined by needs of the families.Make referrals to appropriate community resources and community partners.Work with families to relieve problem situations.

Associate Teacher

Responsibilities: Under general supervision, develop and implement a developmentally appropriate preschool program for children to help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. Observe and record observations concerning each individual child’s development according to Head Start Performance Standards and Regulations.

Teacher Assistant

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the teacher, the assistant helps in developing and implementing a developmentally appropriate preschool program for children, which helps them to develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally.

Early Childhood (4k) Teacher

Responsibilities: Develops Weekly Planning Forms according to all Head Start Performance Standards with the assistant teacher. (No less than ½ hour daily with an assistant for planning). Plan, organize, and direct daily classroom activities. Communicates with children in an appropriate manner. Develop an Individual Education Plan for each Head Start Child using Creative Curriculum assessment tools. (See Procedures). Comply with Wisconsin Statutes Children’s Code and Head Start Personnel Policies in suspected cases of child abuse or neglect. Records in bound medical log and file.

Assistant Teacher/Spanish Interpreter

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the teacher, the assistant/interpreter performs in a dual role, developing and implementing a developmentally appropriate preschool program for children, which helps them to develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally.

Bus Driver

Responsibilities: The Head Start Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of children to and from program activities. The Bus Driver exercises good judgment in response to changing weather, traffic conditions, and routes and plans the routes in an efficient and timely manner. Communicates with the Main Office via radio system all pertinent information and problems.

Classroom Aide

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the teacher, the assistant/interpreter performs in a dual role, developing and implementing a developmentally appropriate preschool program for children, which helps them to develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally.
